Two posts in one day?!?! What has the world come to!?!?
I just had to post to gush on a couple of topics.
First of all I have to say "Numb3rs" was soooo good tonight! Not really sure how I feel about it as a season finale, but that definitely doesn't diminish the quality of the episode. Sometimes I wish TPTB at "Numb3rs" would go a little bigger with the cliffhangers when it comes to their finales, though I think that's just based on what other series do and isn't necessarily a prerequisite for a good episode or even finale. It's just something I wish they did sometimes.
Anyway, I realize it everytime I watch the show, but what I really love about "Numb3rs" is the characters. Even though the show is really about Don and Charlie none of the other characters and their growth/stories are scarificed for the sake of them. All of the characters are so well written and it's definitely easy to see growth, in every character, throughout all of the seasons of the show. The interaction is so easy and it really does feel like one big family.
Tonight was no different. I loved seeing David pushing/proding Charlie, Larry stepping up to the "mathmatical" plate, Alan and Don being their for Charlie and David and Colby speculating on the motives of a few of the others. That's not even mentioning Amita. Wow. Then there's the end, as much as I love the episodes I always love the "wrap-ups" at the end of all of the episodes. Today's finale was no different. Very good stuff.
I could go on but I didn't mean for this to go on for too long. I'll just leave it by saying that it was definitely a great episode!
The other things I wanted to gush over was the fact that "Castle" and "Dollhouse" have been renewed!! I'm really surpirsed by "Dollhouse," but I'm not going to complain over it's renewel. The show has grown on me and I'm definitely going to tune in to see where they go with it. Should be good. Of course we all know how I feel about "Castle!" Woo hoo!
On another note: Interesting news coming out about "Scrubs" and a possible ninth season. Looks like ZB and SC are signed on for six "transitional" episodes. I'm a huge "Scrubs" fan and have been since the show started, so I'll be watching to see where this goes. It could end up being great or it could end up really bombing. Either way I'll definitely be watching.
Cheers!

Scrubs is back tonight! Woo hoo! I've been looking forward to this for a very long time. The commercials look pretty great too. Hopefully everything pans out and I can give the show glowing reviews after it's debut on ABC. Here's to great comedy!
Actually, tonight should be a pretty good night for TV: Scrubs, The Mentalist and Law&Order: SVU.
Other than that I don't think that there's too much else I have to say (strange, indeed). I've been thinking a lot about "Vegas," Atlantis and how the show is going to come to a close. I didn't really like "Vegas" but I have to admit that I can definitely see where it could lead and tie into a pretty interesting season/series finale. I'm excited to see where it goes, but I'm also sad to see Atlantis go. I may not have enjoyed the direction it's taken in the past little while but I'm going to miss my Friday night fix.
I'm not exactly holding my breath but I really hope that SGU will fill in my need for Stargate fix.
Anyway, only time will tell.
I hope anyone reading this is having a fantastic day!
Cheers!

I've spent a good part of the night catching up on "my" shows from the past week. Everything seems in order, I guess. I loved Journeyman, though I wouldn't have thought I wouldn't. That show is rapidly becoming my favourite. I'm totally in love with Kevin McKidd. What an amazing actor (not to mention the fact that he's extremely easy on the eyes). Speaking of my new obsession with him, I was always planning to start watching the series Rome, but I started watching earlier than I expected just because I found out he was in the show. It was/is a total fangirl moment. Anyway ....
Bionic Woman was good enough. It had enough of a mix of romantic/sexual tension, action and other character moments to keep me interested for the entire episode. Which is always a good thing.
Scrubs was funny, as always. I love how that show can mix the hilarious and the serious so seamlessly.
Watched Numb3rs again, love that show to pieces. Larry is the best character on television right now, IMO anyway. All in all I thought it was a pretty stellar episode. Though, I have to say, it was a little heavy on the making out between a certain couple. Enough already! We get it, they're close.
... And then there was Atlantis with Missing
I'm not really sure what I can say about this episode. It was better than I thought it was going to be. I'm not sure if that's saying much though because I had really really low expectations for it. So the fact that it surprised me doesn't necessarily mean that much. I will say that it was nice to see RL get the chance to carry an episode. She is a wonderful actress, who hasn't been getting as much quality screen time as she should have been getting. So that, I liked.
On another note, I'm trying very hard to like Keller. Though I'm afraid I'm not succeeding. Maybe in the end, my trying too hard is a lot of the problem. I look at the character and think "ok try not to think about the fact that it could be Carson in this scene instead of Keller," and instantly I'm screwed. All my good intentions go out the window. I really don't know what it is. There is nothing wrong with JS or her performance, in theory anyway. Though, in this episode, it did bother me a little bit that she was written a lot like Carson. Well, a very early first season Beckett anyway.
Oh well, I'll keep plugging away with my quest to really like the character. Hopefully sooner, rather than later, I'll succeed in it.
If I'm not mistaken, next is "The Seer." I'm not sure about my expectations for this episode, right down the middle, I think. You know, I've decide I'm just going to be happy and embrace this space (I'm going very zen about the whole thing). Atlantis isn't what it was, but that doesn't mean it's horrible. In fact, some of the new stuff has been pretty good, but at the same time I really dislike a lot of the changes and it infuriates me to no end. I think this is what it means to be ambivalent. Stuck right in the middle, between two very different points of view, or ways of feeling. Not to beat the point to death but this thing with the show is definitely characterized by an "inability to make a choice or by a simultaneous desire to say or do two opposite or conflicting things." Yup, that most definitely sums it up.
Cheers!
